This was Mystic's first dental cleaning at the age of 2 years old. Mystic took to the procedure very well for his first time. The before and after pics were very clear as to what level of cleaning had been provided. I will be using this service once or twice per year now to keep on top of cleaning.

Nicole was lovely when dealing with my large cat. She was patient and kind. My Simon decided he was done with the cleaning before Nicole had a chance to finish. It was a good first introduction to teeth cleaning for him and we’ll definitely be back.
Even though we took up the appointment spot she didn’t charge us anything because she didn’t complete the cleaning. Nicole even talked to us about the photos she had taken and really took the time to answer all of our questions and concerns.
I highly recommend this business and will trust my fur baby there wholeheartedly.

My dog is 5 1/2 and has never had his teeth cleaned. They weren’t bad, but his breath said otherwise. I gave him some gabapentin beforehand to help keep him calm, and it worked great.

Nicole did an amazing job. His teeth are so clean and white. She was very professional and knowledgeable, and gave me great feedback. I really appreciated her professionalism and honesty.

We will be back!!!!

They were very accommodating and were able to take Georgie in early so that I could catch a ferry. She was very tuned in to our pup's experience and responded with care. She described the procedure with Georgie and showed me the before and after pics. Kind, friendly and thoughtful!

Teeth Cleaning FAQ’s

How Can I Tell If My Dog Or Cats Teeth Need Cleaning?

You can often tell your dog or cat needs teeth cleaning by signs such as bad breath, yellow or brown tartar buildup, red or inflamed gums, and visible plaque along the gum-line. Other common indicators include drooling, pawing at the mouth, difficulty chewing, or dropping food while eating. In some cases, pets may also become less interested in hard food or chew on only one side of their mouth. Regular pet dental checks and professional no sedation teeth cleaning or a sedative service at your veterinary can help prevent these issues from progressing into painful dental disease.

How Much Does A No Sedation Dental Cleaning Cost?

  • Flat Fee Dogs $249
  • Flat Fee Puppy Intro $99
  • Flat Fee Cats $279

We take cues from your pet and do not charge if we are unable to start working with your anxious pet. If you book an appointment and decide to cancel it after consultation our fee is $50 and the same fee is charged if we have to break up your appointment due to anxiety. This gives your pet 2 hours with us rather than 1 hour.

  • Removal of tartar, plaque & calculus
  • Brush & polish teeth, stains & gums

Why Should I Clean My Pets Teeth?

Regular dog and cat teeth cleaning helps prevent plaque, tartar buildup, bad breath, gum disease, and painful dental infections that can affect your pet’s overall health. Keeping your pet’s teeth clean supports healthier gums, fresher breath, and improved comfort while eating and playing. Routine preventative pet dental care is one of the best ways to support your dog or cat’s long-term health and wellbeing.

Does My Pet Feel Any Pain Or Discomfort?

During our No Sedation Pet Teeth Cleaning Service your dog or cat should not experience any pain. We are scaling off plaque teeth surfaces just like you humans have experienced.

How Do We Get Your Pet To Stay Calm For A No Sedation Service?

We rely on our ‘pet-whispering’ skills to establish a trusting relationship with each animal and at the same time use gentle relaxation techniques, which allows the pet to feel safe and comfortable. Even fussy pets with challenging personalities are usually very cooperative. On the rare occasion, but it does happen, some may even fall asleep.

Does Dashing Dogs Dental Offer Mobile Pet Dental Cleaning?

Yes, we provide professional no-sedation dental services across various partner locations in British Columbia (including Vancouver, the Fraser Valley, Victoria and Naniamo and other cities on Vancouver Island, Kelowna and other areas in the Okanagan) and Alberta (including Calgary and Edmonton). Check our locations page for the latest schedule.

What Pets Are Not Good Candidates For A No Sedation Teeth Cleaning Service?

Pets that are not good candidates for no sedation teeth cleaning include those with severe dental disease, broken or infected teeth, significant pain, or advanced periodontal conditions that require veterinary anesthesia and medical treatment such as antibiotics.

We also may not be able to safely treat pets that are extremely anxious, aggressive, or unable to comfortably tolerate handling during the process. Very young, very elderly, or pets with certain underlying health conditions may require a veterinary assessment before proceeding. In these cases, we will always recommend a veterinarian’s care first to ensure the pet receives the safest and most appropriate treatment.

How Is Dashing Dogs Dental Different From A Veterinary Dental Cleaning?

Our service is an anesthesia-free, cosmetic, and preventative cleaning that focuses on removing plaque and tartar above and just below the gum-line. While we are not veterinarians and do not perform x-rays, extractions or surgery, we provide a "Pet Report Card" to help you monitor your pet's oral health between vet visits.

Why Should I Introduce My Puppy To Regular Dental Cleanings?

This special puppy introduction session (12 months and under) is designed to help your little furball get used to cuddles, mouth touching, and toothbrushing in a positive and playful environment.

Here's what we have in store:

  • 30 minutes of playful interaction: We’ll get to know your puppy, introducing them to our services with gentle care.
  • Plaque Scaling: We’ll gently scale any plaque to ensure those little teeth stay sparkling clean.
  • 15-minute teeth brushing: We’ll show you how to brush your puppy’s teeth, making sure they feel comfortable and confident.

Our goal is to make your puppy feel right at home with us and ensure they enjoy their grooming routine. We can’t wait to meet your bundle of joy and start this exciting journey together!

What Does No Sedation Cat Teeth Cleaning Entail?

We also offer No Sedation Cat Teeth Cleaning! We take extra care with our feline friends and have extensive experience working with cats to make sure the process is comfortable and stress free as possible.

We only accept cats in their crate, soft shelled carrier or in a harness and leash. We can only accept cats that are fully secure. Appointments take about 30 to 45 minutes.

Is No Sedation Dog Teeth Cleaning Safe For Senior Pets?

Yes. Because we do not use anesthesia, our cleaning process is a lower-risk alternative for senior dogs and cats, or pets with medical conditions like heart murmurs. We also use cold laser therapy to reduce inflammation and promote healing in older gums.

What Is Your Tool Sterilization Process?

All of our tools used for no sedation pet teeth cleaning are properly cleaned and sterilized between every appointment to maintain the highest hygiene standards. We follow strict veterinary-grade sanitation protocols, including disinfecting and sterilizing equipment to help prevent cross-contamination and keep pets safe. This ensures every dog and cat receives care with clean, safe, and properly maintained instruments. Maintaining a sterile environment is a key part of our commitment to professional and safe pet dental care.

How Often Should I Clean My Pet's Teeth?

Most dogs and cats benefit from professional teeth cleaning every 6 to 12 months, depending on their age, diet, breed, and how quickly plaque and tartar build up. Some pets with higher risk of dental disease may need more frequent no sedation pet teeth cleaning to maintain healthy gums and prevent bad breath or infection.

At home care, such as dental chews or brushing, can help extend the time between professional cleanings. Regular pet dental check-ups are the best way to determine the right cleaning schedule for your individual pet. Our after visit report card will review our return rate recommendations as well as your veterinary during your check-up visits.

What Happens If My Dog Or Cat Is Too Anxious For The Cleaning?

We prioritize a "Fear Free" approach. Our dental technicians are trained in calm handling techniques and we never force a pet to continue if they are showing signs of high anxiety. If your pet is not a suitable candidate for no-sedation dental cleaning, there is no charge for the appointment.

Why We Have A Cancellation Policy?

Our appointments book up quickly and we as you to cancel your appointment 24 hours prior to your appointment to avoid our $50 cancellation fee. If you were to not show up our 'no show fee' will apply in the amount of $100.
